It’s been everyone’s favorite time of the semester in art class: CLAY!  6th graders have been working on clay animals made from pinch pots, 7th graders have been working on making coiled vessels, and 8th graders have made slab boxes.  Here’s a preview.  We are still waiting for all of the greenware to be fired, before students will glaze or paint their projects.

Two 6th grade students began this chalk drawing as a fun project in art club, and then continued the drawing during the school day.  Eventually, it was cut in half so each student could take her half home:
